The Tragical History Of Odette And Siegfried
Prologue
In old times when magic still ruled in untamed lands.
There was a lake known for it’s beauty and grace.
Where wild swans rested their heads and squirrels played around.
But when the sky darkened and the full moon rose above the lake
Swans took their leave and squirrels hid for the danger of the night.
A wizard by the name of Rothbarth left it’s lair
and destroyed all beauty that crossed his path.
In such a terrifying night a princess was lost.
Her beauty was like a rose so fine
And her grace like the swans in the sky.
Her name was Odette .
An easy prey for a wizard lectured in the Dark Arts.
And for his pleasure he transformed himself into a gentleman
So fine that sweet Odette couldn’t resist his enchanting smile.
When he won her lovely heart and soul
His true intentions became clear to her.
Feathers grew.
Arms changed into wings.
Feet into paws.
A swan she became
Never to return to her dear father
Only under moonshine
Her old shape came back
Until the day would come
that a man who never had loved before
would give his heart to her.
Only then the spell was lifted.
As years go by
Odette lost all her hope
For who could ever love a girl
that’s swan by day and human by night?
