As we go to places
And visit states -
Never seen
Neither explored

I meet you at the train station
Paper jeans and
Running fingers through your hair
Sworn to secrecy, aching bones

I will take your hands
And show you the strange birds -
up above on the highest branches
They smell fear from a distance -
Never seen
Neither imagined

As I pass you again
With your sleeves curled up
And your eyes moulding
like they were just found
in the shadow of the bitter rain -
Spider web

A few years later and
I am still waiting
On a airplane too afraid to land
and a bird so sensitive
to ever take distance from the branche

The train runs off its tracks;
just when it is time
And you are on a place
at the right time
Called home

I feel your thrilling body against me
As the sunrise is about to set on fire
I hear you whispering my name
Seeing the wounds of the city
tearing our walls apart -
A tragic past
with a hidden future
A screaming voice
About to be forgotten
instead of acknowledged

I hope you have found the place
where the train runs off its tracks
When the tide sweps you away
I hope people might experience
The same bitterness,
the same passionate -
what we felt

I guess that is the sin
The revenge paying for
Two strangers crossing their paths
And tragically, falling in love
